You're favorite ladies are BACK! We dip our toes into the draft the Jaguars had....and well...we know it ain't popular. We talk about how we don't know shit and not going to pretend to. Also we touch on Diana and Mike and these international games.

SPEAKER_01

Well, hello everyone. This is Danica.

SPEAKER_00

Do you know where are you going to? Do you like the things alive? It's showing you. Where are the Jaguars going to? I don't think we know. Hi, everybody. Hi. Long time no. See, it's been a long, long time. I don't know if you know, but my name is Shayla. Hey, hey, hey guys. Um, welcome to Person Till. Woo! I don't know. I don't know if they just have wooes. We're not gonna move. We're not gonna move. I I don't know what the Jaguars are doing. Maybe it's good. Maybe it isn't. Although people think it's not good.

SPEAKER_01

According to the census board, you know, we don't know. Yeah, we we've we've been uh taking a break for a little bit after the season, and now we're back uh basically the start of the the league year, so to speak.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Uh yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, we just had the NFL draft, and um census board says the Jaguars uh fucked it up, had a made a huge mistake. Terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible. This consensus board that prior to this, nobody really talked about because everybody pretty much stayed in line with the consensus board. Okay. I get it. The Jaguar strayed, oh no more than just stray, they just colored all outside of damn lines.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god, they they became very, very, they became weirdos. I mean, and I don't, you know, I I don't know. I can't I cannot say that I know more than experts that are getting paid millions of dollars to think about this critically. So I can't say that. I just I can only say that the other people that I listen to who also are getting paid money uh to talk about this say the shit sucks too. So that's all I can say.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they're saying that the boy wonder James Gladstone is saying that he's smarter than anybody else out there, and how dare he. Yeah. Um dare you, how dare you go outside the lines? You can go out a little bit and come back in, but to just go off on your own, no, yeah, and you shouldn't do that. Shouldn't do that. And the thing about prior to the to the draft night, we didn't know what the Jaguars were gonna do because the board a first round pick. We weren't picking until what was that 50 something in the second round?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, 50s, 56 is the the the pick, or it's 56 or 58. I have to go look back at uh the board, but it I mean it was put it this way, it was the 50s. We didn't we didn't know. We yeah, so we know that it was the 50s, and that was that was an issue, so right.

SPEAKER_01

And we just figured I always knew that whoever they picked, I wasn't gonna know who the hell it was because at this point, like I said, yeah, we were not. We didn't have no skin and gate, we didn't have a first round pick. The Jaguars got further in the playoffs than we had anticipated. The team was actually good. So as far as draft talk, we didn't really have any. We weren't even thinking about it. It wasn't a uh topic of discussion. They didn't go to the combine.

SPEAKER_00

They didn't so you know, so you know, that's the thing. They didn't even go to the combine. So they went to the senior bowl, obviously. Yeah, yeah, clearly, clearly.

SPEAKER_01

That's where and I'm not thinking, I'm thinking as far as who didn't go to senior the to the combine. I'm probably thinking there was other Jaguar scouts there, maybe one or two. I don't think they totally abandoned it. But like they tell you, well, everything's on tape. Yeah, everything's on tape, right? You always see.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, and I I mean, and that's real. I agree with that, but there is something about seeing people in person that you know, this this past month or probably about a month ago, well, a little more than a month now, I went to Japan, you know, and I saw you know Mount Fuji. There is something about seeing it in person. Right? It's totally seeing it on Instagram. So I I mean, I think there is a difference, and I think we should normalize seeing these people, you know. Yes, you can talk to people online. Clearly, you know, while they were vetting these players, you know, they do get to talk to um some of these picks or most of these picks, and you know, they want to make sure they're fit for the program or fit for for the team. And so, you know, you bring them in, you you chat them up, but this kind of idea that you don't need to see them in person kind of I don't know, but yeah, and the people who get invited to the combine is are you know the the higher picks too? So the idea is you ain't you know you won't got to see them because you know you ain't gonna be able to pick them.

SPEAKER_01

So that could have been that, but then it's the senior bowl. They went to the senior bowl, these guys are actually playing in a game, right? So sometimes you're I don't know, I don't think they the senior bowl is coached by like losing coaches, aren't they? Yeah, so they weren't coaching the senior bowl, but but they're they're seeing these guys actually go through paces. They're seeing them these guys play, right? Right, right, right, right. So and and it that was uh and I think that gave them a little more it it helped with, I guess, with whoever they decided to pick, because obviously they drafted guys that were in that game. That were senior bowl participants. And um I I guess we could it it seemed like they fell in love with players from Texas AM because the two picks they had round two at 56 and round three at 81, both were from Texas AM. And yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know, did you I've I don't remember watching any Texas AM games. I mean I didn't either. Yeah, this is S C C A C but I don't even know what what I don't even know what division Texas, all the realignment. I don't know. I think they did quite a bit, I think they did play Florida. There were some highlights from that. Um, I guess we can get into our uh uh number 56 tight end, Nate Borkatcher.

SPEAKER_00

Uh okay. You you you did it. I'm not gonna say it. I'm just gonna say Big Nate.

SPEAKER_01

Big Nate, yeah, and uh he pretty much he's uh uh he's blocking tight end. Blocking tight end. Um and people we know he is not here to replace strange. If you're thinking that, I I no who thought that some people thinking that I'm like, no, he we we're gonna be able to do that. There's no way, there's no way.

SPEAKER_00

They love strange. Strange is gonna be here, and I'm sure they're gonna put a package together for strange. I've they love strange, right? He's not he is not replacing now. What is interesting is I mean, I mean, and we'll talk about it later, but yes, Nate is a blocking tight end. Um, the I know you mentioned earlier that um he is somebody that they feel like was not utilized properly for college.

SPEAKER_01

Kalea was talking about yeah, because they're saying, well, he only had 19 catches, but obviously they see something in him that they think they they're not you they that Texas AM didn't use him correctly and that they care. Right. And you know, sometimes when you're in Texas, when you're in your coach in college, you you're coaching for your system for what works. Like you don't care about what NFL thing, what where they're going, you don't care. But obviously they see something where they can use him better. Um, and with the coaching the Jaguars have, um, if they feel like they can coach this guy to play better or work in their system, I I kind of believe that, but you know, most people the consensus board had him somewhere way further down the line. Three or four.

SPEAKER_00

But this is the thing. There I I will say, and I I will say this, there was a run on tight ends. That's number one. So there there evidently was a run on tight ends coming up, going up. Also, what I am nervous about in terms of how the Jaguars decided to select is do you want to spend second round money on a project? Like I that you know, second second rounders between second and third, you expect these guys to play, you know, for and beyond, you know, are the projects. You all drafted a project in the second round. A project.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so and right, so they feel like they can they have the time to bring him along. Um, I guess a project, yeah. A project, though. Second round, second round, and and they they said they bring him in to help, of course, with the with the run game and blocking, which yeah, okay, okay, yeah, which we do need help.

SPEAKER_00

Like last year, that was an issue.

SPEAKER_01

That was a huge strange went out, and you you missed you could clearly tell. You could tell. Motherfuckers could not block.

SPEAKER_00

There ain't no blockers on this team.

SPEAKER_01

No, none. And it seemed like some of his highlights, he's a bigger dude in body. I think do you think he might be a little bit bigger, stockier than uh strange? Um, yeah, and like he could take a hit over the middle. 6'5, he's six five.

SPEAKER_00

Strange is not that tall.

SPEAKER_01

No, and if you need a big guy to go over the middle, like we know some of our receivers don't like to go over the middle, uh, who could take a hit because Trevor Trevor loves to put it over the middle where you get the shit knocked out of you. Looks like he can take a hit, so that might be a plus in our favor.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, it is six five, two forty-five. That's the that's the which to the 245, six at six five is actually really kind of thinned out a little bit, um, honestly, but he still is a taller, bigger guy. So, you know, we we we gonna see, man. We're gonna see. I don't know, man.

SPEAKER_01

We don't, we don't know. We don't know.

SPEAKER_03

No, we don't.

SPEAKER_01

We really don't, and and we've been talking about this, we don't know how to feel about this. At the same time, we recognize the the fur over once again the consensus board and the thing. So we we want it to work because we love this people, like we want this to work, and then there's the other half, like, oh, does he think he's the smartest in the room? You know, it goes back into have you seen uh what do you listen to, Hamilton and uh Bird said, Why do you assume you're the smartest in the room? You know, hearing that made me think of Glassstone. Why do you is it that way, or yeah, do they have something? And we don't know. They're really starting to build the roster, so to speak. Yeah, your own player, so you're not because we we we couldn't go out and flash and uh spend in free agency. You know, we we lost Kevin Lloyd, we lost uh ETN or ETN, whatever he's calling himself now. Um, you know, we we couldn't afford to uh sign those guys. No, it's not that's that man's name, D. But if Trevor didn't know about it.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, Trevor evidently did not know.

SPEAKER_01

That whole time. Who was that? If it's mama name of Cassius, I'm gonna call him Cassius. Whatever. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

That's very funny. That's very funny.

SPEAKER_01

But you know, that that goes into the cap hell we were left with Balkie. There was 40 billion dollars in depth cap. A majority of it went to Tyson Campbell, Gabe Davis, and Darnell Savage. That's 40 million dollars from three players who did not play on this team lecture, and only one of them played five games because they after that they traded him. So that it kind of it it it it ham, you know, it locked you up on what you can do. And you really they won't be able to get out from under to what next season.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01

So to speak. And then you still got some. Right. And you still got some of those big problems you still on your roster because Eric Armstead cost a penny and Balkie gave Walk a little contract before he w got his ass washed out. Right. So you're still, yes, you have the new regime, they're trying to create their own identity, did identity, get their own players in, and but you still have you know things from the last regime still bothering or still causing some issues. So it's a it's a it's a delicate, I say, balance, you know. Yeah, it is. It definitely is. And I did have the chance to talk to uh Chris Porter at an event last week, and you know, he's he basically said if you look back at it, um James Gladstone he had had an interview saying that they want to build this team, build through the draft, and he kind of stated it was gonna look like this. So he he, if you kind of probably go back and look at it and listen to some of his past interviews, that Jameson was glad dropping hints that this draft was gonna kind of go this way, you know, and supporters of the belief, you know, that it's it's gonna be okay. He said, We really have no choice but to believe it's gonna be okay.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, that this is the thing. This idea, oh, it's gonna be okay. You don't know that. Nobody knows. We we don't know. I mean, nobody knows.

SPEAKER_01

I mean we do not know who knew that drafting CJ Henderson and he was gonna be a complete head case. Oh my god, a complete bust, complete and utter bust. But you know, the census board said, hey, that's a good one.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I don't know. I don't really know. I mean, they did, but it it that I I don't know. I don't I don't know if that man wanted to play football at all. I don't think he wanted to play at all.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, if we're being honest, it didn't matter where he's like at all. It could it seemed like the young man probably had his family to take care of, like I gotta go play, I gotta bring the family up, type things. Like he just did not seem he did not want to play at all. But you know, you get drafts like that where you think you have the guy like what Jamargus Russell, but that's only one person, that's like top of the draft. You're gonna take gambles like that in every draft. But if as long as it goes along with this consensus board and it ends up being a bust, it's okay. But you go outside the consensus board and it's all a bust, it just makes it worse. So they gotta be right.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They have to, I mean, not to look like fools, they have to be right. So, so I mean, we can move along. I I don't know if we really want to spend time and detail with these, you know, people that we we have a very limited knowledge of. So, I mean, we we can kind of run through yes, the DT was next, defensive tackle was next, Albert Regis um from Texan AM.

SPEAKER_01

Um, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They said uh the 88th pick, uh a manual pregnant pregnan from Oregon. Seem like people like that.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yes, well, O line, you know, anytime they go O line, yes, people are gonna like that. Yeah, we do it. It is definitely you know, they need some guys to to to, even though I think I honestly think the offense is gonna get better this year. I if anything, I think the defense is what's gonna be on the little skid. Um right. But I do think the offense will be better, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And because you need those other guys to step up.

SPEAKER_00

Um and then the offensive line, and no, I think the offensive line, this will be their second year in a system playing together. Like most of those guys played together last year. There there's no break in that. You know, Haynesley is good. You know, like if you start naming guys on the offensive line, they were good. And you know, Trevor, it was so good that Trevor had a great year, especially once he, you know, figured out what the fuck he was doing again, you know. That's he had a great year with an MVP candidate. Right. And and and then you add into that, we get our coaches back. Right, right, right, right. We got everybody back. Continuity is a good idea. Everybody went and tried to, you know, they they got the the the new car model treatment, you know. Everybody wanted to test them out a little bit to figure out whether they they wanted them. I mean, but it didn't happen.

SPEAKER_01

They said we're gonna run it back.

SPEAKER_00

So yeah, so you know, they decided they wanted to run it back.

SPEAKER_01

So we are here we are. Here we are. Um, and then you run out with a third round pick number 100, a Jalen Husky, which he seems like a Campanillo guy. Yeah, defensive back, he seems like a Campanillo guy. And after that, I have no don't remember anything about the rest of the thing.

SPEAKER_00

It was a couple of another, it was another tight end, yeah, uh, a couple of wide receivers, which was very interesting. A couple of wide receivers, and that's that is always interesting because it's like, how many do you really need?

SPEAKER_01

But you know, um you might get a guy. I mean, think about it, Parker Washington back in the day. What he was like was six rounds, six rounds, six rounds, and look at him now. Like, dude's probably gonna get that contract. He yes, they're gonna give him a little money, they're gonna give him a little money, and which he is it won't be this year, guys.

SPEAKER_00

Everybody needs to understand it will not be this year, friends. Parker's in his what 30 or going into his fourth year run? Yeah, I think so. So, like I I want everybody to calm down. Yeah, you know, it's not time to pay anybody yet, you know. So that's the thing. But you know, we'll we'll see. We'll see what we can do. You know, we did lose some key pieces. We did. Um and but you know, we we have to kind of wrong things. Yeah, it it's what happens when you're good, you know, you have a good ear.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you lose those guys, and you just gotta try. Hopefully, the guys that you draft it will be able to eventually step up or the guys that were behind them and step up. Yeah, that they they're they're uh they can take over. So it's and we will see with the Jaguars this year, because we don't know. We're gonna look forward to it.

SPEAKER_00

We don't know. We we can absolutely, you know, look forward to, you know. Look forward to it being great. So, you know, we we're gonna see. We're gonna see, guys. We're gonna see.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we're gonna see. And eventually they're gonna release the schedule, which they keep pushing back further and further. Which, yeah, y'all come on now. Like at this point, they would have released it by now because you know, somebody like me, I'm waiting on them to release, so I know what what kind of PTO I need to save up. Where am I going? Okay, I what kind of PTO? Yeah, I'm like, I need to know. I'm like, I'm counting my PTO. Uh like, okay, how much I have when I get to this point in the season, how much I got right now. You know, I'm thinking, okay, I know who my home and away, what the away games are. Do I want to go to this place? Hell, do I want to go to London again?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. You know, yeah, I know you've been thinking about it.

SPEAKER_00

And I mean, I don't, I mean, if if someone wants to sponsor me to go these places, I'm, you know, I'm here for it. I don't know. I don't know that I can afford to go the eight places that I I want to go. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

And and I heard uh uh there's this rumor for the little bird, there was, you know, rumors out there saying that possibly those two home games, there's gonna be two home games in London this year, that they will be it might be the Texans and Eagles game.

SPEAKER_00

That's gonna be interesting. Um you know what's funny is the Paris game. We didn't talk about the Paris game. Let's talk about the Paris game. But that ain't for us. I mean, you know, well, I mean, I d I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, it's not see who was it that it was like the Browns and terrible.

SPEAKER_00

Remember, it's a terrible fucking like it's terrible. Like there, you know, the whole team, of course, is a Saints, right? Um, but they the the opponent is reported to be Cleveland Browns. Who wants to see that, guys? Why y'all gonna do Paris like that, y'all? Why would I want this for my life? It's Paris. It's Paris. I mean, you would go because it's Paris. I that's the only reason I would go.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, I go because it's London. I have uh I fallen in love with the UK. I I love it over there, you know, and of course, Jack. Always played there is like a bonus. You know, and is Paris. Like Shayla's been there a couple times. I've only been there once for like a day trip. And I would love to go again. You know.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Paris is a you know, it's a beautiful city. If you like, you know, if you like any major city, you're gonna love Paris. I know there's tons of people that hate Paris, but again, it is like any other major city. It is stinky. Yeah, uh, it is dirty. Yeah, but it's beautiful. You have to pay, you know, a euro to go to the toilet in the train station. But you know, it is beautiful, it is gorgeous. Um, the the you know, everything is gorgeous. Uh, the I've everything, even you know, the the whack ass tourist traps that you hear about is still very beautiful. So yeah, it it is.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and I I I I love that trip, and I I often think about it and talk about it. I was like, it's so great. And you know, uh like I said, I'm thinking again of doing the London trip again. Maybe I might shorten my trip just to go over there and you know see the game. I like doing the uh what is that, like the day before at the the pubs? Um have the little uh parties at. And I I absolutely love after the game. What was that? What would they call it? Box park. Yeah, you know, I enjoyed that. You know, it's it's it's a vibe, you know, it's it's all a vibe. And you know, if you ever need to get your steps in, you're gonna get your stepsins over there.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, always again, but that is major city, major city, you know, yeah, and once again we're pushing this because hey, if you would like to sponsor us to go.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, please sponsor, sponsor me. Please sponsor. I mean, this is something we we would love to go and again share our experiences and maybe new experiences over there because we don't get to experience everything. I know um, like the week of the game, sometimes they have practices over there where some fans come out and see the practice. That's something I've never attended. I would like to attend the practice over there and just see how they do it and how they interact with the fans during those practices. That would be something we could talk about. I would love to experience that. So there's there's still new things to explore with these games overseas and interacting with the other fans. Because now there's what is the we're into the third fan of the year from uh from the internationals, you know, fans, and um, you know, that the fandom is growing there, and also we talk more about how the game, the game they just announced uh they're gonna be a game in Australia. In addition to Paris, so now it's I have to these these fans thinking they always will run with the Jaguars or moving to London jokes. All every team is going to end up playing a game overseas every year. It's coming. Right. It's it is coming. It's coming. It is it's they're not going to put a team over there permanently, I don't think, but these international series where every team they're they're like they might eventually go to 18 games. Every team is going to have a home game in some country around the world. Your team is going to lose a home game overseas, guys. It's coming, okay?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, the 18 the the fact that they're you know trying to get to 18 games is insane to me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's money grabbing now you can watch, they're gonna watch games on Netflix and you're watching on Amazon, on YouTube, is whoever's paying the money. I don't know the only free games you're gonna ever watch on TV, last one would probably be the Super Bowl. Yeah, unless you're subscribed to some streaming service, which sucks.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's yeah, because they never they never they would never probably do that to the Super Bowl because there are so many eyes and the ad dollars, you know, kind of depend on those eyes. Yeah, right. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, so such a big such a huge audience. It's like a hundred million people, you know. A hundred million people are watching the Super Bowl. So I don't think that they would ever get to a point where that would be, you know, some sort of streaming option.

SPEAKER_01

So because too many, they don't need to because so many eyes on our regular TV, you'll have everybody watching from wherever it's it's it's gonna be always big, you know. But um, like I said, I'm I'm looking forward to this NFL season just waiting for the schedule. Please release the schedule, guys. So I don't know. Release the schedule. And I I guess before we uh kind of leave here, this uh Yeah, because we've been talking a long time about this. Yes. Uh Diana and Mike.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, bad guys. Yeah, I feel bad. I mean, I I do maybe I don't really feel bad because I think both of these people are, you know, really, really adult people. Like this, you know. Y'all know what y'all were doing. You know, I feel bad for you know Diana because she's the one that literally wants to give up a career that she spent the you know her her entire life, you know, cultivating, right?

SPEAKER_01

But at the same time, she knew what she was doing. Nobody forced her. Didn't seem like if she was coerced into uh these extracurricular activities with the coach, you know, and of course he's he's it's gonna roll off of him. It's it's not it's always gonna be just a little footnote. It's it's nothing is going, nothing has happened to him. They made him go to uh what is that? They made him go to therapy or something during the third day of the draft. He was gonna be unavailable. At that point, they're they're letting the scouts pick people on day three, okay? And with some light input. And and guys remember, his owner got caught with a rug and tug down to Florida. Yes, he did. Yeah, like it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter. And with hers, it's the whole ethics thing with reporters and sources and the people you talk to, all of that, you know. But and unfortunately, she got the brunt of it. And then you also think about, and like most times with stuff like that, I don't care about people doing stuff in their lives. Like when Tiger Woods with when he got caught with the white, the mistress and all of that, and he came and apologized. He ain't do shit to me. I did not care. Now he might there, he out there obviously write down painkillers and stuff and DUI, yeah. That's an issue. But he's from behind his wife's back, that's between his family members. He ain't have to apologize to me. I ain't care. Right. You know, at the end of the day, these two grown people that you know, y'all fucked up. Well, one of them fucked up your career.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm. Pretty much.

SPEAKER_01

You know, and there's wives and husbands on the back end, kids that's gonna come through later on in life and read about all this stuff.

SPEAKER_00

You know, so that's the family. Yeah, that is the terrible. Well, all of it is terrible. Yeah, all of it's terrible. That is a highly terrible aspect of it. And um, I mean, rest in peace to her career. Right. Maybe she'll be able to come out of this.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, but it it ain't gonna be it ain't gonna be soon.

SPEAKER_01

Nah, right now, just just join. Maybe if you can, quietly join the PTA, bake cookies, be up in the drop off and pickup line for the kiddos. Uh yeah. For right now, just family time. What else can you do?

SPEAKER_00

Family time. Maybe her husband is gonna, hey, is her husband gonna, you know, get a get a uh uh uh DNA test?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you know they would talk about it because it's like they she named that child Michael. I'm like, what? And they was together on that boat right before she gave birth. Uh he probably is saying, like, hey, do I need to? I mean, that's that's that's that's bold right there, both of them right then out in the old open, I mean for that long. But again, who holding on to all these photos?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I d I I think that it's very interesting that these photos are so some of these photos are so old. I don't know. It's very interesting.

SPEAKER_01

Very interesting. Well, um, I want to thank everyone for uh joining us after this hiatus. Um, I think we'll be back whenever they use the schedule, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I yes, that that probably makes sense, but I definitely, you know, it's been a long time. It has. We shouldn't have left you. Yeah, yeah, but it's it's been a long time.

SPEAKER_01
